GMAA Early Childhood Education and Care is a quality early childhood program that provides a safe environment for your child to learn, grow, and develop. The children will participate in a theme-based approach with the integration of the Houghton Mifflin PRE-K curriculum for the VPK Program and the WEE Learn Curriculum for toddlers and pre-school aged children. The daily schedule includes daily worship, morning meeting, learning centers, storytime, small and large group activities (literacy/math/art/science/cooking), personal hygiene care, meals, rest time, and outdoor activities.

Our program includes toys and activities that are both educational and age-appropriate. Therefore we discourage children from bringing their own toys except on sharing days. Toys brought from home for sharing day must be related to the theme of the week. Under NO circumstances will play weapons or figures associated with violence be permitted.

We are a community-based preschool serving children from infants to 5 years old. In addition, we also provide school age care for children ages 5-12 during school breaks and summer. At North Tampa, we follow the Constructivist Approach, with children and educators “co-constructing” their own learning as they bring their unique life experiences to the classroom. From the design of our indoor and outdoor classrooms to the interactions and experiences that take place on our campus, everything we do is intentional, reflecting our beliefs about the ways in which children best learn and honoring the child as a uniquely created individual. We are grateful to collaborate with you in this great exploration we call early childhood!
