Introduction to FLCOE Core Curriculum and Resources
Welcome to the FLCOE Online Curriculum Training Resources. Below, you'll find a description of all our Core Curriculum Resources and Applications. Training resources for each item are housed within our Talent Development Platform, Growelab. Once you receive your FLCOE-issued email, you can access Growelab through Classlink. Bible: Encounter Bible is a K-8 curriculum where every students’ friendship with Jesus is nurtured – through countless connection opportunities with Him and through a growing, confident knowledge of Scripture – so that they may be challenged to make an eternal difference in our world.

Math: Big Ideas Math (Florida's BEST Standards for Math) for grades K-12 emphasizes a cohesive and rigorous approach to mathematics education, focusing on developing strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. The program incorporates research-based strategies like Visual Learning, offers comprehensive support for teachers, and integrates technology for a flexible learning experience. Student worktexts and an extensive online dynamic classroom make math meaningful and accessible to all students.

Dreambox Math: Dreambox Math is an adaptive, online K-8 math program that complements classroom instruction. It provides personalized learning experiences that adapt to each student's needs, helping them build a strong foundation in mathematics. Dreambox is used during small-group math rotations to help students fill in learning gaps and extend their learning.

*Wit & Wisdom: Wit & Wisdom is a comprehensive K-8 ELA curriculum program created by Great Minds. Through inquiry and curiosity, students develop the knowledge and skills they need to be effective readers, exceptional writers, and effective communicators.

*Pathways Reading: Pathways Reading, for grades K-8, is a comprehensive literacy program designed to develop students' reading skills through a structured and engaging approach. It focuses on building foundational reading abilities, enhancing comprehension, and fostering a love for reading.
*Please check with your school to see if you will use the Wit & Wisdom program or Pathways 2.0.

Dreambox Reading (Reading Plus): DreamBox Reading is an adaptive, online reading program that provides personalized learning experiences for students. It uses engaging, interactive activities to help students develop essential reading skills, including word rate development, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The program adapts to each student's needs, providing targeted instruction and practice to ensure they progress at their own pace and achieve reading proficiency.

Geodes: Geodes are a collection of readable books designed to support early literacy development. A collaboration between Great Minds and Wilson Language, they align with Wit & Wisdom’s knowledge-building topics and Fundations Phonics scope and sequence. They are thoughtfully crafted to provide opportunities for students to apply the phonics and reading skills they are developing in Fundations, while building content and vocabulary.

By Design Science: Science by Design is a K-8 curriculum that integrates the latest practices in best practices in science teaching and learning in a faith-based context. It includes interactive digital tools and hands-on activities to teach students how to think, read, write, and argue like real scientists and engineers.

Social Studies: The McGraw Hill Impact Social Studies series is an inquiry-based program for grades K-6, designed to engage students in exploring the world and their place in it. It offers flexible pacing, rich print and digital resources, and interactive tools like graphic novels and primary sources to build knowledge and critical thinking skills.
The McGraw Hill Impact series, for grades 6-8, provides a comprehensive understanding of world history, culture, and geography. It aligns with the C3 Framework, using Essential Questions and Lesson Questions to guide student investigations. The series includes a variety of texts, primary sources, and activities to help students think like historians and informed citizens.

Stepping Stones: Stepping Stones is a kindergarten, integrated curriculum that utilizes developmentally appropriate activities designed to meet the needs of individual students through 10 thematic units. Each unit is anchored in rich literature and has a strong spiritual connection. In the Florida Conference, kindergarten teachers use Stepping Stones for Bible, science, and social studies.

Lexia Core 5: Lexia Core 5 is an adaptive online reading program that helps students of all abilities develop foundational reading skills such as phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency.

Reading A-Z/Raz Plus: Raz Plus is a supplemental reading program designed to give online access to a library of books that include decodables, leveled readers, fluency passages, and running records. The books can be assigned or printed out for independent reading and/or small group instruction.
